A SERVICE CLUB WITH EMPHASIS ON SERVICE
We call ourselves "We-Go" an appropriate name since the members of The Rotary Club of Westtown-Goshen go to great lengths to provide a multitude of services to our community, our nation and the world. We-Go has become known as "one of the most energetic service clubs in our area," as noted by George Bury in the Daily Local News. From its beginning in 1975, We-Go has prided itself in being an every-member-participates club. From the moment a new member becomes a We-Go Rotarian, he or she immediately becomes an active participant in the club's many service opportunities
FELLOWSHIP
The "glue" which helps hold We-Go together is the fellowship and camaraderie of its members. Living in a community with many different neighborhoods but without a central business district, members often have little regular contact with other service-minded individuals. The weekly We-Go meetings help to develop strong relationships. For many, We-Go is like a second family and we enjoy sharing our personal lives as well as our business lives with one another.
INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS
We-Go meets at 6:15 p.m. every Thursday at the West Chester Holiday Inn on U. S. 202 just south of West Chester. A wide variety of interesting and innovative programs give We-Go members an insight into important local, regional, national and international activities. We-Go is not just a social club where members gather once a week to enjoy "a night out." While fun and fellowship are distinguishing characteristics of our Rotary Club, members are primarily united by the multitude of opportunities for service to the community, the nation, and the world. We enjoy working together in the spirit of service. By combining our individual efforts, we are able to multiply our effectiveness. There is a special discipline which makes Rotary different from other organizations. We-Go has no paid staff to "run things." Members do all of the planning, organizing and execution of service projects, as well as handling all management of the club itself. Nobody takes a back seat while someone else does all of the driving.
